Top 100 fastest growing companies in Europe 18/01/2006 -Decision News Media, the online science and business news publisher, today announced it ranked 70th in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA awards, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media and telecommunications companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Founded in early 2000, Decision News Media today publishes 23 leading business-to-business news websites for the food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and science industries.
In a market place largely dominated by Anglo-Saxon media multinationals, Decision News Media's impressive position, the result of a 1157.31 % revenue growth between 2000 and 2004, comforts the global trend of strong growth of the digital publishing industry.
"The fact that Decision News Media is number 70 on this year's Deloitte Technology Fast 500 demonstrates that the online news publishing model works and offers outstanding growth opportunities. Online advertising in the US alone totalled $2,99 billion in the second quarter of 2005, according to the Internet advertising Bureau (IAB)." said Julien Letellier, Marketing Director of Decision News Media.
Readers are increasingly moving online, and according to Jupiter Research's 2005 Online Advertising Forecast, advertisers are following suit, with online advertising expenditure expected to reach $18.9 billion in 2010.
